* Racing thoughts or overthinking

* Feeling unsafe, even in normal situations

* Trouble concentrating or making decisions

This is what it can feel like when your system is stuck in survival mode.

* Fight: snapping, anger, controlling situations

* Flight: restlessness, always busy, can’t relax

* Freeze: shutting down, procrastination, feeling stuck

* Fawn: people-pleasing, avoiding conflict, putting others first

It’s your nervous system trying to protect you. It just hasn’t learned how to turn off properly yet. It’s like it’s always ready to choose how to react to a tiger. Living on high alert with that overreaction every day is really hard.
