The Five Biological Laws of German New Medicine

When I first began studying German New Medicine, I learned about something called the Five Biological Laws. These laws are the foundation of GNM. They explain how GNM connects emotional experiences with the brain and the body.

Here is a very simple introduction.

1. A sudden shock can affect the body

The First Biological Law says that illness begins with a sudden, unexpected emotional shock. You didn't see it coming. And you were sort of isolated when it happened. GNM calls this a biological conflict or DHS.

The shock affects the person's emotions, brain, and body at the same time. The specific type of emotional conflict determines which part of the body and brain are affected.

2. There are two phases

The Second Biological Law says that a biological conflict has two main phases.

The first is the conflict-active phase. The person is under stress, and the body stays focused on dealing with the conflict. You are typically cold, with no appetite, and wake up in the night. Then, when the conflict is resolved (or partially resolved), the body moves into a healing phase. This is when the body shifts into repair and recovery. You are typically warm, have an increased appetite, and need more sleep.

3. Different parts of the body have different jobs

The Third Biological Law looks at the different tissues in the body, and how they developed before birth.

These tissues respond differently to different biological conflicts. It also connects them with different areas of the brain.

4. Microbes can be part of healing

The Fourth Biological Law looks at microbes such as bacteria and fungi.

GNM teaches that these microbes can have a useful job during the healing phase. Instead of seeing them as something that causes disease, GNM sees them as part of the body's repair process.

5. The body has a reason for what it does

The Fifth Biological Law brings the other four ideas together.

GNM says that what we call a disease is actually a meaningful biological program. In other words, the body is responding to something in a way that has a biological purpose.

After observing myself and others through GNM eyes, every day for almost 20 years, I am convinced in its amazing biological truth.

After getting a basic understanding of how emotional shock conflicts affect the physical body, then we come to how I especially use GNM in my work. Specific emotional shock conflicts, in specific order, in specific combinations, cause specific mental conditions!
